I love to wear a set of stacking bangles and there are so many different types of silver wire available and so many textures to be applied, that this workshop is your chance to experiment with them! This workshop will take place at Venetia's Yarn Shop in Fakenham. Venetia has the most beautiful independent yarn shop with space for us to make our jewellery. There will be a sweet treat for you and tea and coffee and cake for you to enjoy during the day.
During this silver stacking bangles workshop, you will be able to make your own set of 3 bangles. We will practise using copper to make one smooth bangle and then will dive in and make your 3 bangles from sterling silver. We will make one smooth one textured bangle and then you can practise with texture to make another bangle or you can use the die to put a curve or a wave in your bangle. We will be soldering your bangles closed and then working on filing and sanding them to get the perfect finish before giving them a good polish.
This workshop is for total beginners to silversmithing and soldering. If you are making your bangles as a gift, please find out the size of the recipient before you come Bangles come in standard sizes - Small (internal diameter of 6cms, Standard is 6.5cms and Large is 7cms. If they are for you, there will be bangle sizers available so that you can get your size right. All materials will be provided for you and numbers are limited to ensure you get all the help you need!
