Saturday 15th April at 10am at Venetia's Yarn Shop in Fakenham
I love to wear a set of stacking rings and there are so many different types of silver wire available and so many textures to be applied, that this workshop is your chance to experiment with them! This workshop will take place at Venetia's Yarn Shop in Fakenham. It is an ideal location for jewellery making and crafting of all sorts.
During this silver stacking rings workshop, you will be able to make your own set of 3 rings. We will practise using copper to make one smooth bangle and then will dive in and make your 3 rings from sterling silver. We will make one smooth one textured bangle and then you can practise with texture to make another bangle or you can use the die to put a curve or a wave in your rings. We will be soldering your rings closed and then working on filing and sanding them to get the perfect finish before giving them a good polish.
This workshop is for total beginners to silversmithing and soldering. If you are making your rings as a gift, please find out the size of the recipient before you come, there is a ring sizing guide here on my website. If they are for you, there will be ring sizers available so that you can get your size right. All materials will be provided for you and numbers are limited to ensure you get all the help you need.Tea, coffee and sweet treat will also be served, jewellery making is always easier with cake!
This workshop costs £65. It should last from 10-1pm.
