How to size your wrist

Either measure the internal diameter of a bangle which you wear and is comfortable or, alternatively, tuck your thumb into your palm and wrap a measuring tape around your knuckles. This will give you the circumference measurement you need to size your wrist.

Necklace size guide

16" (Choker length)

Let's start with the choker length necklace - it's like a whisper of elegance around your neck, adding a touch of sophistication without being too flashy. All my necklaces are available in this length.

18" (Princess length)

Gracefully drapes just below the collarbone, offering a timeless and refined look that's suitable for any occasion. All my necklaces are available in this length.

20" (Matinee length)

The matinee length typically falls just above the bustline and is often used for more formal occasions or when you want to make a statement with your necklace. It's great for pairing with higher necklines. All my necklaces are available in this length.

30" (Opera length)

Long, luxurious, and oh-so glamorous. It makes a statement without saying a word, ideal for dark tops or dresses. Take a look at my Holkham Acorn necklace or my Star Anise necklace for this length.

Saturday 20th September 2025 at 10am at Claire Howard Jewellery shop in Fakenham

I love to wear a set of stacking rings and there are so many different types of silver wire available and so many textures to be applied, this workshop is your chance to experiment with them! This workshop will take place at my shop in Fakenham. It is an ideal location for jewellery making!

During this silver stacking rings workshop, you will be able to make your own set of 3 silver rings. We will practise using copper to make one smooth ring and check the sizing is correct and then dive in and make your 3 rings from sterling silver. We will make one smooth, one textured ring and one beaded ring. You can also use the die to put a curve or a wave in your smooth ring. We will be soldering your rings closed and then working on filing and sanding them to get the perfect finish before giving them a good polish.

This workshop is for total beginners to silversmithing and soldering. If you are making your rings as a gift, please find out the size of the recipient before you come, there is a ring sizing guide here on my website. If they are for you, there will be ring sizers available so that you can get your size right. All materials will be provided for you and numbers are limited to ensure you get all the help you need. Tea, coffee and sweet treat will also be served, jewellery making is always easier with cake!

This workshop costs £85. It will last from 10-2pm.

Terms and Conditions:

If you need to cancel, up to 1 month before the workshop a full refund (less 10% admin fee) will be offered or you can be moved to another date. After 1 month before the date of the workshop, unless I can resell your place, fees are not refundable.
