How to size your wrist

Either measure the internal diameter of a bangle which you wear and is comfortable or, alternatively, tuck your thumb into your palm and wrap a measuring tape around your knuckles. This will give you the circumference measurement you need to size your wrist.

Necklace size guide

16" (Choker length)

Let's start with the choker length necklace - it's like a whisper of elegance around your neck, adding a touch of sophistication without being too flashy. All my necklaces are available in this length.

18" (Princess length)

Gracefully drapes just below the collarbone, offering a timeless and refined look that's suitable for any occasion. All my necklaces are available in this length.

20" (Matinee length)

The matinee length typically falls just above the bustline and is often used for more formal occasions or when you want to make a statement with your necklace. It's great for pairing with higher necklines. All my necklaces are available in this length.

30" (Opera length)

Long, luxurious, and oh-so glamorous. It makes a statement without saying a word, ideal for dark tops or dresses. Take a look at my Holkham Acorn necklace or my Star Anise necklace for this length.

I love the therapeutic nature of making a chain bracelet. They are such a rewarding thing to make. There are so many different ways you can make them too, with small hoops alternating with large ones, with all the same size small hoops or all the same size larger ones and so many textures to be applied, that this workshop is your chance to experiment with them! This workshop will take place in my jewellery shop in Fakenham. There is a large area for us to work on our jewellery making! It is an ideal location and there will be a sweet treat, tea and coffee for you to enjoy during the day.

We will start by making a sample of some hoops using copper wire so that you can experiment with what size you would like your bangle to be and also try some texturing. We will then make your bracelet using 1.2 sterling silver wire.

This workshop is for those who have already had some experience with soldering. If you would like some advice about whether it would suit you, please get in touch with me via email (claire@clairehowardjewellery.com) BEFORE you sign up for the workshop.

If you are making your bracelet as a gift, please find out the size of the recipient before you come. All materials will be provided for you and numbers are limited to ensure you get all the help you need!

Terms and Conditions -

If you need to cancel:

Up to 1 month before the workshop there will be a refund in full (less a 10% admin fee) or you can be moved to another date.

After 1 month, unless I can re-sell your place, fees are not refundable.

Care

Each piece of my jewellery is handmade in sterling or fine silver, filled gold, or 9ct gold, with some Keum Boo details or gemstones.

To keep your jewellery looking its best:

  • Avoid contact with perfume, lotion, and chemicals.
  • Remove before bathing, swimming, or exercising.
  • Clean gently with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth.
  • Store in a dry place, ideally in its box or pouch.
  • Silver may naturally tarnish over time—use a polishing cloth to restore its shine.

Shipping

Every order is carefully packed and sent with Royal Mail — First Class Signed For under £30, and Special Delivery for anything over. Local? You’re welcome to collect your jewellery from my Fakenham shop.

Terms and Conditions

By booking a workshop with Claire Howard Jewellery, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your booking, please let me know as soon as possible.

Up to 1 month before the workshop: You can choose either a full refund (less a 10% admin fee) or transfer your booking to another available date.

Within 1 month of the workshop: Fees are non-refundable unless I’m able to re-sell your place. In that case, you’ll receive a full refund (less a 10% admin fee) or have the option to move to another date.

Bookings can be moved once only and must be confirmed by email.

If, for any reason, I need to cancel or postpone a workshop (for example, illness or unforeseen circumstances), you’ll be offered the choice of a full refund or a transfer to another date.

Please note that workshop places are limited and can’t be reserved without payment.

What’s Included

All workshops include the materials you’ll need to make your jewellery, plus refreshments (and a slice of cake from Peppy Neds, of course!).

Health & Safety

Health and safety advice is shared in advance via email and explained again at the start of the workshop. Please take care when using tools and especially torches and follow the guidance provided.

Photography

I love capturing the creative atmosphere of my workshops and often share photos on social media. I generally focus on hands at work rather than faces, but please just let me know on the day if you’d prefer not to be photographed.

Before Your Workshop

All the details you’ll need – including what to expect, arrival times, and what to bring (if anything) – will be sent to you by email before your workshop.
