How to size your wrist

Either measure the internal diameter of a bangle which you wear and is comfortable or, alternatively, tuck your thumb into your palm and wrap a measuring tape around your knuckles. This will give you the circumference measurement you need to size your wrist.

Necklace size guide

16" (Choker length)

Let's start with the choker length necklace - it's like a whisper of elegance around your neck, adding a touch of sophistication without being too flashy. All my necklaces are available in this length.

18" (Princess length)

Gracefully drapes just below the collarbone, offering a timeless and refined look that's suitable for any occasion. All my necklaces are available in this length.

20" (Matinee length)

The matinee length typically falls just above the bustline and is often used for more formal occasions or when you want to make a statement with your necklace. It's great for pairing with higher necklines. All my necklaces are available in this length.

30" (Opera length)

Long, luxurious, and oh-so glamorous. It makes a statement without saying a word, ideal for dark tops or dresses. Take a look at my Holkham Acorn necklace or my Star Anise necklace for this length.

Story Behind the Jewellery

This bracelet began with a beautiful vintage button featuring the proud shape of a Scottish thistle. The design caught my eye immediately — bold, sculptural and full of character.

I carefully cast the original button in sterling silver, preserving the fine details of the thistle so that its distinctive form can be worn and enjoyed as a piece of jewellery. What was once a small everyday fastening has been transformed into something lasting and meaningful.

The thistle has long been a symbol of strength, resilience and protection. In Scotland it is deeply woven into history and folklore, standing tall as a national emblem. Scotland has always felt familiar to me. My dad’s side of the family are Scottish, and there has always been a sense of connection there — a landscape, culture and heritage that feels quietly woven into our family story. When I saw this button, with its beautiful thistle design, it immediately made me think of that connection.

Casting vintage buttons is one of my favourite ways to honour the past. Each design carries the quiet story of an object that was once chosen, sewn on by hand and worn as part of someone’s life. Now handcrafted in silver and suspended from a simple belcher chain, this necklace gives the button a new life — allowing its pattern and symbolism to be worn once again.

It is a piece that feels both nostalgic and quietly striking, perfect for everyday wear and meaningful gifting.
