How to size your wrist

Either measure the internal diameter of a bangle which you wear and is comfortable or, alternatively, tuck your thumb into your palm and wrap a measuring tape around your knuckles. This will give you the circumference measurement you need to size your wrist.

Necklace size guide

16" (Choker length)

Let's start with the choker length necklace - it's like a whisper of elegance around your neck, adding a touch of sophistication without being too flashy. All my necklaces are available in this length.

18" (Princess length)

Gracefully drapes just below the collarbone, offering a timeless and refined look that's suitable for any occasion. All my necklaces are available in this length.

20" (Matinee length)

The matinee length typically falls just above the bustline and is often used for more formal occasions or when you want to make a statement with your necklace. It's great for pairing with higher necklines. All my necklaces are available in this length.

30" (Opera length)

Long, luxurious, and oh-so glamorous. It makes a statement without saying a word, ideal for dark tops or dresses. Take a look at my Holkham Acorn necklace or my Star Anise necklace for this length.

A Fragrant Memory, Cast in Silver

There’s something endlessly fascinating about the texture and shape of star anise pods—their eight-pointed form is almost sculptural, full of natural detail. Native to Vietnam and South Western China, this beautiful spice is the inspiration behind one of my most unusual and treasured designs.

It all started when I found an old box of star anise in the back of my mum’s cupboard. They were long out of date, but far too lovely to throw away. That Christmas, I turned them into decorations for family and friends—glued to coiled wire and tied with red ribbon, their warm, fragrant scent filled the room with festive nostalgia.

I couldn’t stop thinking how beautiful they’d be in silver. I picked out some of the most striking pods—not perfect, but full of character—and had them cast. When the silver castings returned, I spent time filing, sanding, and polishing each one, adding jump rings so they would hang beautifully on their chains. The result is a wonderfully tactile pendant that shimmers as it catches the light.

Meaning & Gifting

Star anise has been used in Southern China for over 3,000 years, both for its flavour and its believed health benefits. Imported into Europe via the tea route, it became a key ingredient in Chinese five spice, biryanis, jams, syrups, and puddings. It has even been said to help with mood and menopause symptoms.

This necklace is a beautiful gift for food lovers, keen cooks, or anyone who loves unusual botanical forms. It’s perfect for layering with other favourites or worn alone as a striking seasonal piece.

Carry a Fragrant Memory

Cast from a spice with stories to tell, this necklace is a celebration of character, comfort, and festive nostalgia—handmade to bring a little warmth and wonder to your everyday.

Happy new year! I just wanted to say thank you. The star anise necklace is exactly as I imagined. It arrived today and looks beautiful. It is a birthday present for a friend. She is a fantastic cook and does wonders with spices so I thought it very apt. I know she will love it.
